Wondering Where to Find Brews at Nashville International Airport?

Nashville car serviceIf one thing’s certain in the world of travel, be it for business or leisure, the airport can be a serious bummer. From long lines at security to confusing layouts, unhelpful staff and food that stresses both your bank account and your waistline, few of us internally rejoice at the thought of airport layovers or delayed flights. If you’re like us, you probably think the “miserable airport experience” is a shame.

Traveling should be streamlined, efficient and at least bearable, if not downright enjoyable. And while certain concessions will always be needed to make your airport experience better (car service, a great carry-on, and your own snacks, for starters), there are a few things in life that will always have the power to turn a miserable, unexpected three-hour layover into a relatively enjoyable time. Among those things, of course, is a cold beer.

If you’re planning a trip to or from Nashville in the near future, and you anticipate spending a reasonable amount of time in the Nashville airport, you might find yourself with a craving for a delicious craft brew or an ice-cold domestic. We’ve listed the spots at BNA to get the beer you deserve next time you travel through BNA.

Gibson Café

Nashville is famous for music after all, so the Gibson Café fits in perfectly at the airport, with its well-displayed collection of Gibson guitars and Nashville-centric atmosphere. The menu includes plenty of delicious eats, as well as a full bar and a variety of great brews to help you unwind. A great place to stop in, have a seat and take it easy while you wait for a delayed flight or get through your layover. Located at Concourse C, near Gate C-20.

Tennessee Tavern

The Tennessee Tavern is the perfect location for those of you who are new to Nashville and want an experience steeped in traditional Tennessee flair. The food is traditional Southern cuisine and comfort foods, and the beverage selection is impressive. Local breweries, as well as large national breweries, are represented on their menu. German beers, domestics and local craft beers are represented as well. The Jack Daniel’s theme will put you right in the thick of both Tennessee and whiskey history. The Tavern is located near Concourse B near Gate B-4.

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge

The stand alone Tootsie’s, located on Broadway in Downtown Nashville, is considered the best honky tonk in the world and features heavily in Nashville-centered television and movies. It made perfect sense to put a Tootsie’s in BNA, as people from all over the world fly into Nashville with a visual of the honky tonk already in their minds. Tootsie’s serves up a truly impressive variety of bar foods, for those of you who are hungry, and of course, they offer a full bar and plenty of cold beers to keep you happy throughout your time in the airport.

Yazoo Beer Kiosk

Due to the new Airport Authority laws in Nashville, flyers can now take beer into secure areas of BNA, instead of staying in the bars or restaurants where those beers were served. Nashville brewery Yazoo immediately set up a kiosk in the airport, attracting those weary travelers who want a delicious craft brew without the hassle of sitting down at a bar, waiting for service and juggling the crowds and distractions. Yazoo’s kiosk is located near the Concourse C food court, near Gate C-14.

Flying into Nashville should be fun; with these amazing beer stops, you can enjoy a cold one while you wait for your flight. Beer lovers can make the most of their time at BNA with a simple rundown of these great brew locales throughout the airport’s Concourses.
